Welcome to

The Gathering

Space

Where everyone has a seat at the table

At a Peace through PIE, whether you call it a social, a gathering, or a celebration, people come together to share food, stories, and traditions that remind us of something simple:

We have more in common than we sometimes remember.

Peace begins when we make

room for one another.

Why Peace through PIE ?

Sometimes the world feels divided.

Why Peace through PIE

Sometimes the world feels divided.

Sometimes people don't know where to begin. A conversation can feel too big. A problem can feel too complicated. But sharing food has always been one of humanity's oldest ways of building trust.

A pie passed across a table says:

Peace through PIE was created to

make peace something people could

practice—not just believe in.

What is a
Peace through PIE
?

A Peace through PIE is more than where people gather or what they call the occasion. It’s the spirit, values, and way of being people bring to the table. When we gather with welcome, listening, dignity, curiosity, and connection, we make room for peace to be felt, shared, and carried beyond the table.

A Peace through PIE can be a:

Food. Story. Connection.

Food carries culture.

Recipes carry history.

Stories carry identity.

When we taste one another's traditions, we often discover that our hopes, struggles, celebrations, and love for our families are deeply alike.

Peace through PIE creates space to celebrate what makes us unique while remembering what makes us human.

How it Happens

A Note about PIE

P I E means:

Peace Includes Everyone

Not because we all think the same.

Not because we all agree.

But because every person deserves dignity, belonging, and the knowing they aways have a place at the table.

Our Roots

Peace through PIE was founded by Luanne Stovall as a creative way to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of the Beloved Community — a world shaped by justice, dignity, belonging, and love.

Since 2009, people have gathered around pie, food, story, and conversation to model the welcome, dignity, belonging, and love we hope to see in the world.

Today, that tradition continues as The Gathering Space, part of CoreFire Movement — helping communities create tables of welcome, connection, and belonging.

Stay Connected

Peace through PIE gatherings can happen any time of year — in homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, faith communities, schools, and shared community spaces.

As The Gathering Space grows, we’ll continue creating ways for people to share their gatherings, stories, and tables of welcome.

For now, we invite you to stay connected as this tradition continues to unfold.

The Peace through PIE Gathering Space is an initiative and part of CoreFire Movement.
